Agri Genix commenced operations April 2017 in the lower Sindh (Badin) belt of Pakistan.
The Company is a farm management enterprise operating similar to a co-op whereby the local community is invited to become a part of the association. Small farms and land holdings are then banded together under the Agri Genix umbrella. Agri Genix provides the investment, expertise and management and achieves economies of scale via the integration of various land parcels.
Our primary mission is to introduce modern techniques to an age old environment. This includes new crops, mechanization, implementing water saving techniques, and finally training and educating the local communities to utilize and maintain the new tools and methods being implemented. All these factors lead to higher yields, stability and sustainable development in the region.
Another goal that we are working towards is building a community supported farm. This will essentially be a partnership between the farmers and the customers. This will help us create a food and commodity system whereby customers know where their produce comes from, who grows it and how they grow it. We can then establish a guaranteed market for our product at a fair price. The farmer / customer partnership will bring about more efficiencies in the supply chain for all stakeholders. This partnership will enhance our operational stability and allow us to invest further in the local communities in which we operate. We thus invite customers to help us develop the community / contractual farming structure.
